Prayers and Resources for the Year of Faith

Year of Faith logoPope Benedict has proclaimed a Year of Faith from October 11, 2012 to November 24, 2013.

In this year, he’s asking all the Catholic faithful to renew their faith and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Church.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops website is offering several resources, links, and prayers to help you renew your relationship with Christ and be a strong witness to the Faith.

Here’s what the USCCB says on it’s website about the Year of Faith:

In the Acts of the Apostles, we learn that God has opened the door of faith for the early Church. But did you know that God has opened the door of faith for each one us and he invites us to step through the threshold into a deeper relationship with him. The upcoming Year of Faith is an opportunity for every Catholic to turn towards Jesus Christ, encounter him in the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist and rediscover the Faith and Church.

A Prayer for the Year of Faith

Lord Jesus Christ, We are bound to You through love, faith, and trust.

We are committed to proclaim the message of the Gospel and promised to You for eternity.

During this Year of Faith, turn our eyes, our hearts, and our hands to You.

Strengthen our personal faith and renew our conversion to a life dedicated to You.

Amen.
