Corpus Christi Sunday Procession
At the conclusion of our 10am Mass on June 7, all attending the Mass will be invited to join as we take the Holy Eucharist outside our church into the community. The whole thing will take no more than 30 minutes following the Mass.

About the event
Sunday, June 7, is Corpus Christi Sunday (Formally the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ), the annual feast, two weeks after Pentecost in which we honor Jesus physical presence which remains with us in the Holy Eucharist under the appearances of bread and wine. As you may recall, there is a Tradition both here at Holy Cross and in Catholic churches throughout the entire world of processing with the Holy Eucharist in the monstrance outside of our churches into the local community on this Sunday. Typically the procession takes place at the conclusion of the parish’s principal Mass, including as many people from the community as possible.
Some processions last for many miles and may go throughout an entire city, while some are more simple in nature. Here at Holy Cross, we have typically processed around our church and school campus, with a stop or two…
