Building Strong Families and Strong Faith

 

We invite you to join our Family Formation program! The Family Formation program at Holy Cross serves families with children in grades K-8. It is a faith formation opportunity for the entire family. Families are encouraged and supported in their efforts to pray, worship, and grow in faith together as a Catholic family. This is for all families, however, for those families whose children are not enrolled in Catholic school, Family Formation fulfills the need for religious education and sacramental preparation.

 

Strong faith formation is needed more than ever in our world today. Our children are growing up in a society where they are encouraged to choose a secular world over a sacred one. As parents, you are the primary educators of your children - this includes their faith knowledge. We are here to help you fulfill this responsibility. Let’s encourage our children to choose holiness!

 

Parents and students meet on the first Wednesday of each month, 6:30 - 8:00 PM, to learn about the topic for the month. Each family completes activities, projects, and prayer throughout the rest of the month at home. K-5 grades follow the Family Formation model. This year grades 6 and 7 will complete the Encounter program by Ascension Press. 8th grade Confirmation meets on Sunday evenings.

 

We encourage you to register and participate in our program. The fee for participating is $125 per family for parishioners and $150 for non-parishioners. Checks should be made payable to Holy Cross Church. Please include payment with your completed forms.
