FACTS Grant & Aid Applications

A financial aid message from Msgr. Brownsey:

The time to apply for financial aid for our schools is approaching. Remember that a fundamental requirement for consideration for financial aid is that you are an active member of our parish. Registration in the Parish Database alone does not make you an active member of our parish. At Holy Cross, an active member is one who, at a minimum, participates with us in Holy Mass regularly and consistently each Sunday. From among those who worship with us regularly and consistently on the Sabbath, I will entertain requests for financial aid regardless of whether you are Catholic. Friday Mass or “online” Mass does not fulfill the obligation to worship on the Sabbath. If I do not see you regularly and consistently at Sabbath Mass, your application will be rejected. If you are in doubt whether or not I see you there, you should make an effort to greet me after mass.

If you need scholarship assistance, either through the Diocese of Peoria Spalding Scholarship Fund or through parish assistance (St. Patrick, Holy Cross, St. Mary) YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING BEFORE APRIL 24!!

  • Be a registered member of a Catholic parish

  • Complete & submit with $45 payment the FACTS Grant & Aid Application, which can be accessed through your Family Portal account by April 24.

  • Upload all 2025 W2s and all pages of your Federal 1040 by May 8.
